AB4IR’s Worldwide Women in Innovation, Incubation & Technology Summit

The Worldwide Women in Innovation, Incubation and Technology Summit (W-WIITS) is an initiative by AB4IR that is intended to shine the spotlight on women in the ICT sector, showcase their achievements and inspire other women to be part of and transform the ICT sector. 

This year’s theme is Empowered to Empower, and aims to challenge the digital gender stereotypes and advocating for more women entrepreneurs in the digital space.

Opportunities for women graduates:

The WomEng Southern Africa Fellowship

WomEng Southern Africa Fellowship 2023 is a one-of-a-kind online learning programme which provides Fellows with resources that equip them to thrive in the future world of work. The programme includes regular online chats via WhatsApp and live virtual master classes held on Zoom. The programme will be run in four (4) modules from September 2023 with an assignment and feedback required at the end of each module. The programme is designed to shape the way young women in engineering and technology navigate the working world as confident leaders in industry.

The programme is open to soon-to-be engineering graduates based in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Application deadline: 20 August 2023

The Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs handbook 

An interactive resource designed to be applied in the context of a women-only programme or to better support women founders within a mixed-gender programme. This resource equips practitioners with the knowledge and strategies required to meet the needs of women entrepreneurs. This was created by GIZ.
