Meet the finalists: Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation 2025

We would like to say a huge congratulations to the four African innovators who have been selected as finalists for the 2025 Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation!🏆🎉

Representing three African nations with innovations in neonatal care to AI assistive technology, these innovators are using technology to improve lives in their local community and beyond.

Well done Frank Owusu (Aquamet), Eng. Carol Ofafa, HSC, PE, MIEK. (E-Safiri – Driving Africa’s transition to sustainable transport), Vivian Arinaitwe (Neosave) and Elly Savatia (Signvrse). Wishing you the best of luck for the final!👏🏾

As finalists, they will get the opportunity to pitch to win £50,000 to scale their impact at the Africa Prize Final event on 16 October 2025 in Dakar, Senegal. This event is the conclusion to eight months of business training and mentoring, where our innovators will put what they have learned into practice in front of a live audience and expert judging panel.
