African Angel Academy’s 10th cohort, and first women-only cohort

At the African Angel Academy, our flagship programme for training angel investors, we’re passionate about advancing gender equity in the early-stage investment landscape across the African continent.🌍

On the 18th of April 2024, we welcomed 86 aspiring women angel investors to our 10th cohort programme. This cohort features women angels on the African continent and the diaspora who aspire to leverage their capital for the betterment of African businesses. 👩🏽‍💻

We are now halfway through the programme, and excited to continue this journey of learning, connecting, and growing together.🌱

We would also  like to extend a huge thank you to both our cohort 10 sponsors for all the impact they’ve helped us create to date, and we’re excited to see the impact this new cohort will make.

UK South Africa Tech Hub, an initiative of the UK government, was one of the first sponsors of the AAA Programme in 2020. To date, their sponsorship has helped train 263 South African angels!

Since 2022, the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF)’s Seed Capital and Business Development (SCBD) program has come on board, and worked with AAA to train 130 aspiring angel investors from Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Botswana, Sudan, Zambia, and Cote d’Ivoire; while providing mentorship to 4 new local business angel groups.
